Keith McMahan, at left, will retire on Tuesday, June 30, 2018 after 25 years of service as the Campbellsville Independent Schools Facilities Manager. Maintenance worker Carl Lee, at right, will begin working in that position on Wednesday, July 1, 2018. McMahan was given the Change Award this school year for his service to CIS. In a letter nominating McMahan for the honor, CIS Superintendent Kirby Smith read that McMahan is one of the most dependable, dedicated and hardworking employees at CIS. A packed Cranmer Dining Center was enthralled by keynote speaker Dr. John B. Begley, the college's sixth president, who spent a comparitively brief time reminiscing and focused even more on the bright future of the institution. The eighth and current President, Dr. Bill Luckey, second from left, chronicled the last 40 years of the school, and the pivotal period when John Begley became president. He noted that when he became president, popular thinking was to keep a predecessor off the campus as much as possible.
