Robert Ellis: Old Post Office, Chance, Adair Co. KY

2018-05-31 - Chance, Adair County, KY - Photo by Robert Ellis.
While out riding around a couple weekends ago with another photographer we made our way over to the Chance community. No doubt this landmark old structure has been photographed a hundred different ways, but this scene, from this view is what attracted me the most. - ROBERT ELLIS. (c) Robert Ellis Woodworking.com

Legacy roses bring back memories annually on Jamestown Hill

2018-05-31 - Todd Grider Corner, Jamestown Street near Miller Avenue, Columbia, KY - Photo by Linda Waggener, ColumbiaMagazine.com.
We watch for these roses along a free-stone masonry retaining wall on Jamestown Hill every year. It's a reminder of our first home together in Columbia, and the arrival of our first chilld and now, a reminder of some of the best times in Columbia. The late John D. and Olive Lowe and neighbors Jimmy & Jimmy Maupin, allowed the roses and the wall to do their thing each spring with just a bit of barely noticed control, and the whole aspect paid homage to Jamestown Hill's wonderful past. Roses above on Todd Grider property (Information thanks to Joyce Coomer, a big fan of the roses, too). - EW

(Ad) Scotty Neat says Thank You to Adair County Voters

2018-05-30 - Adair County, KY - Photo from the candidate.

Adair County:

We greatly appreciate all who took time to help us in any way. Thank you for your overwhelming support and vote of confidence in the Adair County PVA Primary Election.

Many people have worked tirelessly at my side for many long days and nights to help me achieve this goal. I want to thank my wife, Michelle, parents, extended family, and supporters, for all their unconditional love and encouragement. Also, for all of those who voted for me, encouraged others to vote for me, or put a sign on your property for my campaign: THANK YOU.

I'm looking forward to working hard to earn the privilege of being your PVA this fall, and hope to carry this momentum into the general election. It is an honor and a blessing to have this opportunity, and I could have never done this without you. I sincerely appreciate your vote of confidence; thank you once again for putting your trust in me.

I covet your prayers and continued support in the General Election on November 6, 2018.

s/ Scotty Neat

Paid for by Scotty Neat, Candidate for Adair County PVA in the 2018 General Election.
