David Jones & Corey Thomas take Pro Division, Crappie USA

Lifted by a 3.36-pound Green River Lake crappie, the team of David Jones and Corey Thomas brought 17.56 pounds to the scales to claim victory in the Pro Division at the Crappie USA event at Holmes Bend Marina for 2018. A change of strategy on day two help them to the top. Jones, from Columbia, KY and Thomas, from Jamestown, KY fished mid lake in fairly deep water to earn $4,850. Their earnings included $3,000 for first place, $500 for the Talon Bonus, $1,000 for Big Fish, $250 for the Gamma Bonus, and $100 for the Jenko Bonus.

KY Color - O' the Northwest Winds of Spring

O' the Northwest winds of Spring explains, in verse, a phenomenon many are noticing at this time of the year, "leaves upon petioles" wringing, "Showing backsides whited green." This picture and the accompanying verse (Click Read More), succinctly explains white this occurence makes this green, green, green period, with accompanying gray days, a favorite time in late spring and early summer.

Paul Sullivan's booth at FM2 offers homemade breads and rolls

Paul Sullivan from Goose Creek in Cumberland County sells breads and rolls from his booth at Farmers Market on the Square (FM2) in Columbia. He does all his own baking and said the Lord blesses him with the ability to do it himself even though he works from a wheelchair. - LW

Campbellsville HS' Ethan Lay, Wyatt Houk sign with LWC

Lay recently signed his letter of intent in a special ceremony with friends, family members, coaches and teammates.
