Home moved off its foundation in Monday vehicle accident

A possible medical emergency is believed to be a determining factor in Monday's Russell Road, Columbia KY accident which remains under investigation by the Adair County Sheriff's Office. Driver Josh Conover was taken to TJ Health Columbia for injuries sustained in the single-vehicle accident. He was cited for Operating on a suspended Kentucky driver's license.

Gabby & Zoey Norris honored at Taylor County Fair 9 Jun 2018

Zoey Norris, left, and Gabby Norris, were honored at the Taylor County Fair, Saturday, June 9, 2018, by Tractor Supply Company (TSC). The Norris sisters are the daughters of Mike & Sherri Norris of Breeding, KY. Both are students at Cumberland County High School in Burkesville, KY. They were among only 100 winners statewide in TSC's 2018 'Great Neighbor' Essay Contest. The essays detailed how a memorable 4-H or FFA experience had influenced their development as a great neighbor in their community. Tractor Supply received hundreds of entries, and those two students were selected as winners. Paired photos Gabby & Zoey Norris are 'Great Neighbor' Essay Contest winners.

Signs of our times: Russell Creek Paddle Trail signage

Signage about Kentucky Trail Town access is up now on the Cumberland Parkway directing travelers to take exit 46 into Columbia. From there, they are able to go to the Public Square where a sign by the fountain details what is available here. This sign is visible coming toward Columbia from the west. - EW/LW
