Gale Cowan and daughter Beth were ready to hand out campaign materials at Farmer Market on the Square before the official opening of the market at 8amCT today, Saturday, June 16, 2018, when the rising sun was causing sun grins. Cowan is the Republican Candidate for County Judge Executive in the Tuesday, June 16, 2018, general election. While they were staffing the booth, her father, David Burris, was campaigning by helping vendors and other booths get ready for the crowd. FM2 is open until 1pmCT. - EW

Progress at Pinewood Shopping Center has been rapid. The construction of the Magic Market presents a changing scene every day - it's like changed again since this photo was taken on Thursday, June 14, 2018. Construction of the Dollar Tree is now underway, too. And across Burkesville Road, in Holladay Place, the Wayne Supply distribution center is a beehive of site preparation and construction. - EW
