Giant flag at UCB Branch stolen; they want it back or replaced

Elementary students attend JOY Ministries summer camp

JOY Ministries has provided two weeks of camp this summer to allow students to have options on free camps. They have done a lot of team building activities, STEM lessons, home cooked meals, devotions, toured LWC and Green River to hike and picnic. Pictured from left are elementary school students Crystal Mendoza, Peter Mendoza, Emma Burton, Maddie Streeval, JJ Jones, Cassie Cramer, Marli Smith, Javion Momanyi and Isaac Hawkins. Business and jobs growth experience to be shared by Ramsey
 2018-06-18 - Frankfort, KY - Photo from CEDIK. Luke Ramsay, Economic Development Extension Specialist with the Community & Economic Development Initiative of Kentucky (CEDIK), will be speaking in Columbia on two upcoming occasions in July and August. In his presentations, he will explore entrepreneurism and investing in existing businesses (instead of trying to create or attract new ones), "the biggest return on investment for a community." A former small business incubator manager and entrepreneurial coach, he is able to speak from experience. He is a certified professional coach serving as a liaison between local government and local businesses to help provide insights and strategies so the whole community can flourish. One needs to be on continuous alert along Holmes Bend Road, especially beyond Jericho Cove, Charity Baptist Church toward the Holmes Bend Resort & Marina. This young deer bounded across the road, then, before disappearing into the woods, took a look back to make eye contact, then bounded away. - EW
