Hillary Hadley 'Fly Me to the Moon' lily brightens day

This lily is blooming out my back door to brighten my day. It came from bulbs given as favors at the Hillary Hadley "Fly Me To The Moon" scholarship benefit concert at the airport this year. It measures almost 10" across. I took this picture this afternoon, there are many more blooms to come! - Betsy Fausnaugh

Russell Co. HS Drama student Justin Burton is 2018 GSA grad

Justin Burton, of Russell County High School (Drama), above after graduating from Kentucky's prestigious Governor's School for the Arts. Burton, and Adair County's Charlotte Archey, Homeschooled (Drama) and Emma Peterson, Homeschooled (Creative Writing), were the only three to attend the Centre Program from the CM 7-county area of Adair, Casey, Cumberland, Green, Metcalfe, Russell & Taylor Counties, according to David Palmer.

Thunderstorm may wipe out these pretty Coneflowers

The predicted thunderstorm is sounding outside my window as I upload my neighbor Sandy's pretty flower picture, and I'm hoping a heavy rain won't destroy the blossoms. I never knew I appreciated Coneflowers before noticing them flourish on my street this summer and they now have my attention and appreciation. -LW
