There's no taste like the taste of Adair County tomatoes in mid-July. And there's never enough of them. These were photographed at a four-day-a-week farmer's market vendor couple, who, in all the spare time they have, also sell at their home shop! They will be at the Wednesday Farmers Market on the Square, FM 2, 12pmNoon-5pmCT, in the Municipal Parking Lot, NW corner of Merchant & Campbellsville Street, Columbia, KY. Remember to watch for Selections from individual vendors, continuously posted as received by email directly from the vendors themselves.

Holmes Bend Marina to be site of National USA Crappie tourney

Holmes Bend Marina on Green River Lake will have a population explosion with the 2020 National USA Crappie Tournament in October of 2020. The news was confirmed today at the Columbia-Adair County Tourism Commission meeting in Columbia. This photo was made at sunset in mid-June. - LW

TheatreFest! at LWC presents The Two Gentlemen of Verona

Director Robert Brock has decided to place the 2018 Theatrefest! production of Two Gentlemen of Verona in the time of cowboys. Instead of Verona and Milan, the audience is taken to Texas and Mexico. Book Fair 2018 - planning meeting Tuesday 17 Jul 2018

Book Fair 2018 is gaining in momentum with 45 regional authors now signed up to attend the October 6, 2018 event from 10amCT-2pmCT at the Columbia Church of the Nazarene Wheet Fellowship Hall. Food vendors are being approached for what looks to be a minimum crowd of a hundred and growing.
