"It's been a stormy time in New Columbia/Greater Bliss, as seen here from my little spread, Miss Vicky's Pampered Angus Ranch. Reunion countdown -- Flowers shares checklist of concerns

2018-07-20 - USPS, 800 Burkesville Street, Columbia, KY - Photo by Linda Waggener, columbiamagazine.com.
During our how-do-you-do's at the Columbia Post Office today, Robert Flowers shared that he has some pretty serious concerns. He said, "I've got a week and one day to: 1) lose 25 pounds, 2) cover up the brown spots on my hands, and 3) get Donald Trump to teach me how to do a combover hairstyle." These sounded like pretty valid pre-reunion points of concern, especially since they are top of mind for most of us when we're in that mode. His Adair County High School class of 1968 reunion is set for Saturday, July 28, 2018 at 6pmCT in the Roberta D. Cranmer Dining and Conference Center on the campus of Lindsey Wilson College, Columbia, KY. - LW

Birds of Indiana: Ethel & Bethel & Mama Mourning Dove in shade of Hillbilly Tomato plant

2018-07-20 - S Capital Avenue, Indianapolis, IN - Photo by Beth Ann Cravens.
"I was watering the garden last night and found two fat baby mourning doves. They seemed to be playing in the cool shower like children in the rain. This morning the baby doves are still in the garden. By the way, I named them Ethel and Bethel, a nickname that my cousin, Marcia Burton used to call me. Anyway, I got this picture of Ethel, Bethel, and their mama resting under the hillbilly heirloom tomatoes in our Indianapolis garden." - BETH ANN CRAVENS. Photo Friday morning, July 20, 2018
