Revisit Knifley 2018 a time to share memories like this

2018-08-15 - Northern Adair County, Knifley, KY - Photo from Donald Knifley\\\'s photo collection.
Revisit Knifley 2018 is coming up soon (click the link below for details). This is a picture of Main Street in Knifley, KY, , looking east, taken mid-1950s to early 1960s, before the town was torn down and moved when the Corps of Engineers took out the old town to make way for Green River Lake. On the right, the Texaco gas pump is in front of the Luke and Marie Knifley Restaurant. On right is the two story Knifley Post Office, unidentified metal sided building, the KY 551 from Columbia, then the brick building which housed the Jack Hovious Store, then a vacant lot is where the barber shop was, then the L.R. Chelf Store. This side of the post office would be where the Leon Christie Store was located. This photo, taken by Bro. Wolgemuth, was the inspiration for a painting now owned by Louise Spires. Revisit Knifley is coming up Saturday, September 8, 2018.

Epicurean Kentuckian: How a Great Writer (Mystery #80235) breaks fast

2018-08-15 - Columbia - Photo ?????.
After editing 30 pages of a new book, an outstanding Kentucky author we are privileged to know broke fast with this scrumptious meal. Perhaps a member of a wait staff in Kentucky - who is into noticing what hero writers eat - will recognize the author by the author's 'usual'. If you know the celebrity by the clue above, respond with your guess using the 'Comments' link with this Mystery #80235 puzzler. - EW. Hint - It's not Bobbie Ann Mason. Nor Wendell Berry. Nor Harriet Beecher Stowe. Harriet Beecher Stowe is a trick clue. She's from Connecticut and she's dead. - EW
