Plane crashes attempting landing at Columbia/Adair Co. Airport
 2018-08-22 - Columbia/Adair County Airport, Columbia, KY - Photo from Brandon Hitch, Adair County Sheriff\\\'s Department. First responders approach an airplane which crashed today at the Columbia-Adair County Airport. The pilot, 72 year old James Michael Malone, along with a passenger, 70 year old Linda Maloney advised they experienced some problems with the aircraft and communicated on their radio for the nearest airport location, that being The Columbia/Adair County Airport. The pilot advised the plane had almost come to a stop when it suddenly dropped off the end of the runway and it was unable to stop traveling down a large embankment, finally coming to rest in a fence. - ACSO DEPUTY BRANDON HITCH
