Artful but untouchable pre-fall arrangement

2018-09-17 - Adair County, KY - Photo by Linda Waggener, columbiamagazine.com.
With each day now, there are a few more orange, red and yellow leaves. This arrangement atop of a wood fence post looks good from a distance but is the untouchable leaves-of-three-let-it-be poison ivy. - LW

Not one guess on Mystery Photo ID 79559

2018-09-17 - Cumberland County, KY - Photo by Linda Waggener, columbiamagazine.com.
This photo drew not one guess. Give up? Ok, here's the answer to "Mystery Photo ID 79559: Where in the 7 county area?" It was made on an August Sunday, so clear that driving into this popular public place provided a view with layers of green, then blue hills popping, one after the other, all the way to blue sky. The roofline is on the Dale Hollow State Dock tucked in beside the lake. It appeared as a mystery to me and became one of the ColumbiaMagazine.com mystery photos. The view, if there were no building there, would allow you to see Trooper Island on the other side of the lake. If you have yet to explore around the location, it's a recommended day trip. - LW
