The International Festival promotes and celebrates ethnic and cultural diversity in the region and around the world, while educating the community about the values of each culture. Since there were so many countries represented at the festival, these students had the opportunity to be submerged in each unique culture, discover new ones, and widen their perspective on the world.

Traditional Japanese clothing

These students visited the Japanese booth where they had the opportunity to wear Japanese kimono and learned how to assemble these traditional clothes. Inoue and Shibata are Japanese exchange students at LWC.

First-time flier

Tiffany writes, "First time flier, 8 yr old Pax Barkes takes a picture with his dad David before take off. According to Chris Janes, airport board member, the fly-in held Saturday at the Columbia/Adair County Airport gave a lot of brave children and parents the opportunity to view Columbia from the clouds."
