Peck, Talley and Baughman inducted

Three individuals were inducted as the 18th class of the LWC Athletic Hall of Fame. Left, longtime LWC supporter Henry Baughman from Stanford, Ky., received the Athletic Achievement and Philanthropist Award; Coach Paul Peck '75 from Columbia, Ky., was inducted for men's basketball; and Coach Mike Talley '91 from Columbia, Ky., was inducted for baseball.

Raider Bob and Students watch the fireworks

Students joined LWC mascot Blue Raider Bob on the campus quadrangle for a homecoming pep rally and fireworks show on Friday night before the LWC homecoming football game.

Left, LWC senior Gabby Pyles from Campbellsville, Ky., who represented the Lindsey Wilson Singers, was crowned queen and junior Payton Veraldi, right, of Dalton, Ga., who represented the Fellowship of Christian Athletes, was crowned king. LWC Homecoming king and queen are selected by popular vote of the student body.

Fireworks to end the festivities

Friday's homecoming festivities ended with a pep rally and fireworks show. Students, alumni and friends gathered on the campus quadrangle to show their support of the LWC football team as they prepared for the homecoming football game against Cincinnati Christian (Ohio). The Blue Raiders shut out their opponent on Saturday, winning 73-0.

Adair Countians honored at LWC Homecoming

Four Adair County natives were honored by the LWC National Alumni Association on Saturday as part of the college’s 2018 homecoming weekend. From left: LWC President William T. Luckey Jr., Dan Antle ’71 of Columbia, Ky., who received the Distinguished Service Award; longtime LWC professor of business John Howery of Columbia, Ky., who received the Honorary Alumnus Award; Ann Grant ’75 Martin of Columbia, Ky., who received the Distinguished Alumna Award; Columbia, Ky., native Andy Mann ’08 of Nashville, Tenn., who received the Outstanding Young Alumnus Award; LWC Director of Alumni Relations Hannah Peck ’12 and LWC National Alumni Association President Jerald Bryant ’94.

Preparing for absentee voting to begin 15 Oct 2018

The Adair County Board of Elections inspected the voting machines Monday in the basement of the Courthouse Annex, preparing for the upcoming November 6, 2018 election. Those board members present were Lisa Greer, Board Chair, second from left; Ricky Collins, Republican Representative, at right; Vicky Pike, Democrat Representative, second from right; and Josh Durbin, center, Sheriff's Representative. We were assisted by Natalie Ignacio, at left, and Jackie Cravens. We will be setting up for absentee voting in the annex on Monday morning, October 15, 2018 at 8amCT.
