Kaylee Ann Whitaker on weekend horse/mule ride

Kaylee Ann Whitaker, riding Hitman, and her parents spent the weekend on a large horse/mule ride in Knott County, KY. Her parents, Jason and Amy Grant Whitaker, are the owners of Buck Creek Kennel and Stable in Pulaski County. Jason trains coon dogs, horses and mules. Kaylee is the granddaughter of Ricky and Mitzi Bault and Great granddaughter of Fay McKinley and the late L. G. (Peanut) McKinley of Columbia.

School Resource Officers were topic at Chamber luncheon

Columbia Police Chief Jason Cross spoke on school safety at the October Columbia Adair County Chamber of Commerce lunch meeting Tuesday, October 9, 2018. He said he knew everyone present would join him in being passionate about keeping our children safe in school.

Reliford advises Chamber members of upcoming play

Brett Reliford, director of the Adair County High School Theater Department, invited everyone at the October Chamber of Commerce lunch meeting to the play his class is presenting at LWC the first of November. He said, "We recommend this especially for a ladies night out - women should really like it a lot and men would gain some sensitivity points by attending." The play will be presented Thursday, Friday and Saturday evenings, November 1, 2 and 3, 2018 at 7pmCT nightly in the VP Henry Auditorium at Lindsey Wilson College. Chamber President Pam Hoots is shown in the right of the photo. She reminded everyone that Columbia businesses will be open late for To The Nines again Friday night at the start of Downtown Days.

This Yellow Angel Trumpet Flower is blooming it's heart out at Angel Manor in the 600 Block of Burkesville Street. Hmmm, Angel Trumpet Flower at Angel Manor; coincidence? I don’t know about you but I may have just found my new "favorite" Autumn flower.
