Jessica Tucker honored for community involvement

Modern Woodmen Fraternal Financial recently honored Jessica Tucker of Edmonton as a Hometown Hero for her community involvement. She has put on many 5K's in the past and encourages others to become involved in running and fitness. Jessica volunteers as a fitness, cheer and gymnastic coach and much more. Local Modern Woodmen Chapter 12713 Activities Coordinator Mandy Netherton presented the award along with Modern Woodmen Financial Representative Billy Stinson from Tompkinsville. Jessica is shown with her husband Jason and daughter Zaylee. They also have a son, Kruz. She is employed by Jody Curry Used Cars. - Submitted by Chris Lagermann

Paz-Holley home ready for ten little kids to take charge

Mark and Annie Holley, parents of five, and adoptive parents of five more children, were able to bring all ten to their new home Sunday, October 28, 2018, thanks to the community fundraiser project started last spring. The goal was to find a right-size home for a family of 12. It was completed, as chairman Rick Wilson said, God-led from the start. The money raised allowed for repairs to be done and preparations got underway right after the home was paid for. On Sunday, it was finished and ready for life.

Since the opening of the Big Four Pedestrian Bridge, there's been a bit of a Renaissance on the Indiana side of the Ohio River. Fall colors help to accent some of the colorful older homes along Riverside Drive.
