This year, for some reason, the leaves on a number of Kentucky gingko trees went from green to gone in about 24 hours. It looks like many of the leaves hit the ground without changing color at all. Lloyd Alley has belonged to Hood Lodge 839 for 55 years. The Lodge and church started together, then in 1949 the Lodge building was built on its own. The Lodge, located on Oak Grove Road, used to be on Garlin mail route but now is on the Sano Route. The two-story lodge building is maintained from funds raised during events like the annual Deer Hunters Breakfast that was held Saturday, November 10, 2018. His guarded secret recipe includes pouring half a liter of Coke and a cup of water into a crock pot over the country ham. Cook it all night long and it's falling-apart-ready to spoon over hot biscuits by six in the morning - that's when the early hunters were ready to come in and eat.
