Adair Fiscal Court met in early session

Adair County Fiscal Court met in a special early afternoon called meeting to allow time for all members to leave for the KACo (Kentucky Association of Counties) conference in Lexington. Before the meeting began, Adair County Judge Executive Mike Stephens gave a warm message of congratulations to the new CJE Elect, Gale Cowan. She won the position in the November 6, 2018 General Election last week and will take office ia January, 2019.

Coaching staff helps unload and load for OCC

The coaches who helped were: Jon Smith, Bill McCullough, Theron Norman, Brandon Owen, Mike Thrower, Daniel Cotter, Tyler Bless, Jason Polmanteer, Phil Kleckler, and Chris Olliver. Helping this group load the boxes from Columbia Baptist were Mike Talley, Ralph Jackson, and Mark Fudge.

ACES Food Drive for JOY Ministries
 2018-11-14 - Columbia, KY - Photo by Sarah Dean. The third grade class along with the Better Together Tribe parent group sponsored a school wide food drive for the JOY Ministries crisis center. The homeroom that brought in the most items will receive a pizza party. Mrs. Compton's third grade homeroom won the contest by bringing in 250 items. Overall, students brought in 1,065 items for the crisis center.
