Rotary Club Breakfast

Rotary Club members began cooking sausage, eggs, biscuits and gravy at 5:30amCT at the Columbia Baptist Church. Breakfast was served until 9am when the booths opened up in the historic courthouse. JD Zornes, Center, and others can be seen through the big picture window looking out on the parking lot on S. Monroe Street in Columbia.

J.O.Y. Ministries asks for your gifts this holiday season

Ministries Crisis Resource Center is currently working to provide Christmas gifts to struggling families and to build an emergency shelter in partnership with local government to house those who need immediate shelter after a crisis. All these efforts require funds, so we want to make this our biggest fund-raising campaign ever! If you would like to give a tax-deductible gift to support these efforts, please mail your check to J.O.Y. Ministries, P.O. Box 114, Columbia, KY 42728 or drop a donation by the Crisis Resource Center at 411 Greensburg Street Monday through Friday from 1 to 4pmCT. Adair County at KYA in Frankfort

Mrs. Candice Flatt's students went to the Capital in Frankfort, Kentucky for a two day competition where they took on the roles of senators and representatives. The competition is called Kentucky Youth Assembly, and it is sponsored by the Kentucky YMCA.

Students in attendance were Emilee Flatt, Lindsey Taylor, Maggie Brummett, Emma Harmon, Kelsey Wiley, Billy Salmon, Walter Baker, Aaron Peck, Jaiden Taylor and Emily Wall. Not pictured was chaperone Deirdre Bridgewaters.
