Rotary Club members all wore different hats for breakfast

Kelli Claypool took off her Columbia-Adair County Rotary Secretary/President Elect hat today and put on her eggs scrambler hat for the annual Edgar Troutman Memorial Breakfast. She wrote, "It may have been raining outside but there was plenty of sunshine inside!! We made and served breakfast to/for our community!!"

New Harvest Record Set for Modern Gun Deer Season

A record 106,797 deer were taken over Kentucky's 16-day modern gun season that concluded Nov. 25, topping the previous record from 2015 by almost 1,400 deer.

Lake Goodwill

Saturday morning heavy rain left many puddles and ponds around Columbia. This one, maybe large enough to be called a small lake, met shoppers and those of us dropping off items at the Goodwill store. The photo looks out over the Walmart parking lot toward the parkway. Spots like this remind us to slow down and drive more carefully.
