Congratulations Graham Waggener on first solo flight

2019-01-05 - Louisville, KY - Photo by proud Mom, Amy Waggener.
Today is a celebration day in our family. Jonathan Graham Waggener, the grandchild the Smith family calls "Little Ed," made his first solo flight at Bowman Field in Louisville, KY where he has been taking lessons. When he began the program, his granddad (who was afraid of heights) plugged up his ears and couldn't hear about any planned flights until Graham was safely back on the ground. As we cheer Graham on, we give thanks for his safe first landing, and wish him many more! He is the son of Pen and Amy Waggener, Shelbyville; and grandson of Linda and the late Ed Waggener, Columbia; and Ken and Kay Smith of Ashland.
