Before 2018 came to a close, a trip took this photographer out of cold, dreary Kentucky to the east coast and a landing in the warmth of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. She described it as an ahhhhh moment.

First Place Future Problem Solvers

The ACES Future Problem Solving Team took 1st Place in the District Governor's Cup competition in Campbellsville this weekend. Team members include: Abbie Kemp, Hannah Kotter, Natalea Kaylor, Harli Polk, Hailey Thomas, Sophey Smith, Sophie Eaton, Tyler Grant, Jacob Bailey, and Coach Jeana Pike.

Centre College organist will perform at Campbellsville University

Dr. Zachary A. Klobnak, college organist and instructor of organ, harpsichord and piano at Centre College in Danville, will be presenting a guest organ recital Tuesday, February 12, 2019 at 7pmCT/8pmET in Ransdell Chapel on the campus of Campbellsville University. He will be performing music by William Mathias, Rachel Laurin, William Walton, and Johann Sebastian Bach. The concert, the first of two in the month of February, is free and open to the public.

Previous ACHS team honored at Friday night games

Part of the highlights of Friday night's basketball games against Russell County High School included honors bestowed on the 2009 Fifth Regional Championship Team. Then the 2019 teams played with one win and one loss. The Adair County High School girls team lost their game with RCHS, while the ACHS boys team was victorious over RCHS boys. A large crowd was on hand for the games on a really cold February 8, 2019 night.

Birds of Kentucky: Lady Cardinal a guest for dinner

A Lady Cardinal stopped by the bird feeder for some sunflower seeds. She had to keep a lookout for Blue the Cat who is very brave when it comes to chasing after birds. Blue is not brave at all when another male cat or a dog races toward him and his cat food dish. At those times he slinks back to his shelf and waits.

Cloud making at Holloway Health & Wellness Center

When the weather is cold for many to be outside, Columbia has a great place to go for exercise, the Holloway Health & Wellness Center on the campus of Lindsey Wilson College. The sun was out but it was so cold that as the heat was being generated around the indoor pool and exercise areas clouds were formed on the outside.
