Matt and Keri Willis are National Board Certified teachers

Academic Dean Phyllis Curry recognized the school system's newest National Board Certified teachers, husband and wife team Matt and Keri Willis. Curry said, "There are now 17 or 18 Adair teachers with this title - it's a decision each can make on their own and it's hard work when teachers choose to go for the certification. We recognize them as they get their certifications." The Willises each spoke for a moment about the experience and what it has done to help them as teachers.

Jenna Claywell honored for her statewide win

Jenna Claywell, right, pictured with Talisa Moore, was the first to be recognized at the March School Board meeting with honors for having won first place in the Kentucky State Braille Competition. Superintendent Stephens presented the Rising Star trophy to Jenna and told her how very proud she has made everyone with this special state accomplishment.

Veteran Jerry Dale Sneed awarded high school diploma

The March Adair County School Board meeting was a night for honors and Veteran Jerry Dale Sneed, was the first to be given special recognition. He was awarded his high school diploma in honor of the service given to his country. His high school education had been interrupted when he went into service. Superintendent Pam Stephens, left, and Board Chair Lisa Burton presented his diploma.

Located during the search were individually bagged Methamphetamine, scales, drug paraphernalia, cash suspected as proceeds from sales of said narcotics, firearms illegally possessed by convicted felon, and equipment commonly used in the manufacture of Meth.
