April is National Donate Life Month

To illustrate the message of donation, Donate Life America creates unique artwork for each National Donate Life Month. The 2019 art was inspired by bicycles and the phrase, "Life is a beautiful ride." Bicycles serve as a symbol of progress, renewal and the moving circle of life. The bicycle theme and art will be incorporated into celebrations and events across the country during April.

ACHS Academic Team a top ten team in Kentucky

Adair County High School award winning students and their Academic Team Coach Brett Reliford were given special recognition (clicking the link takes you to the news release of their accomplishments) at the March School Board meeting. Pictured from right to left are: Maddie Harmon, Elizabeth Rexroat, Christopher Stuchell, Trevor Smith, Amber Loy, Hayden Hancock, Keaton Coomer, Alex Godsey, and Christina Kessinger. Coach Reliford listed their accomplishments in tournament action and said, "they are, in every aspect, a top ten team in the state of Kentucky." Four team members were unable to attend the meeting but were listed in the program and will receive their trophies.

Homeless shelter building delivered

Ministries took delivery this morning, March 26, 2019 of a 12x24' building that will serve as a place for homeless families in emergency situations once it is finished inside. It is located in the far back corner of the 911 Center lot in downtown Columbia.

Enjoying the pace on High Street, Columbia
