Columbia's Little League Park improvements working

Mary and Jessee Howard's little boy, Ethan, is geared up and ready for baseball season at the Joe Johnson Little League Park, 167 Doc Walker Road, Columbia, KY. Improvements at the park are continuously being made in preparation for the season openers. For information, contact the staff at City Hall, 270-384-2501.

Little League Park improvements continuing

The City of Columbia "invites Little Leaguers and their families to see all the improvements in progress at the park this year." Attention is being paid in all areas - new doors, fresh paint, new toilets and electric hand dryers. The water line leak has been repaired, new cans with dome lids - these are just a few of the things going on. Please help maintain the park by volunteering your time this season. Call the City of Columbia, 270-384-2501.

A caregiver takes a break to serve in Africa

Diane Wallace spoke to those in attendance at the Adair County Caregivers meeting Wednesday, April 3, 2019 at the Extension Office. She shared slides and details of a rewarding trip to Africa. She said, "What does a mission trip to Africa have to do with caregiving, you might ask? Everything!" She shared how hard the work is, caring for another person over months and years, and said that a break is much needed.
