Harris is Chief Executive Officer of National AHEC

Dwain Harris, Adair County native, was named CEO of the National AHEC (Area Health Education Center) Organization in January 2019. The son of Columbians Sharon and Wid Harris, he lives in Somerset with his wife Julie, son Matthew, 12, and 7-year-old twins, Piper and John Parker.
He began his AHEC career in 2004 when he was hired as center director of the Southern Kentucky AHEC, where he worked closely with his team in all areas of the AHEC mission, including student rotations, preceptor development, health career promotion, pipeline development, continuing education and community health initiatives.

Sam the Dog is lost

Sam has a bob tail to it will be easy to tell if it's him. Sam has been lost from his home since Friday April 12th. He is a 1 year old German/Australian Shepherd with a black collar on that had a tag with his name and our phone number. He was maybe seen Monday evening around 6:30PM at IGA here in Columbia.
