Adair Board of Education board members tour new bus

The new school bus, one of two 2020 model Bluebirds, is shown behind School Board Members after the April 23, 2019 Adair County Board of Education meeting. The bus pictured is Number 51 which will be going to Portland. Bus number 52 will be going to Millerfield. Older busses that will be taken out of everyday use will be kept for backup. Board members from left are: Jonathan Gaskins (Division 4), Daniel Adams (Division 2), Superintendent Dr. Pamela Stephens, Board Chair Lisa Burton (Division 3), Terry Harvey (Division 1) and Troy Grider (Division 5).

Wayne writes, "A short hike in Green River State Park on Sunday found large patches of may apple covering the forest floor. Most of the plants have a flower on them but you need to get down to ground level to see them."

Emily has help with the Build a Book activity at ACPC

Emily Hutto, student at ACPC, is pictured with Lindsey Wilson College Education Student, Sarah Robinson, and her mom, Dorothy Hutto, who were assisting Emily with creating her own special book. The Build a Book Parent Involvement Activity was held April 16, 2019 at Adair County Primary Center. The event was sponsored by Family Resource Center, Title I, and 21st CCLC Camp Casey with assistance from Lindsey Wilson College Education students.

Conservation group buys 100,000 acres in KY, TN
