Business: new Dollar Tree store activity progressing

2019-04-29 - New Columbia, KY - Photo by Miss Victoria of Miss Victoria\'s Pampered Angus Ranch, Greater Bliss, KY.
The new Dollar Tree store has a banner "opening soon" - we don't know the exact dates but will keep checking since its just across the road. Our little community is really growing. This will surely entertain the girls for a while. Any white truck peaks their interests since that’s the color of the feed truck that spits out delicious treats to them. Wow, this is progress and beautifully done at that. Hats off to the developers. - VP

2019-04-28 - Columbia, KY - Photo by Linda Waggener, columbiamagazine.com.
These two girlfriends from Metcalfe County High School made a surprise call on me this weekend - Jackie Coffey at left, and Elaine Wilson at right - and a wonderful time was had by all three of us. From our Metcalfe County roots, Elaine and her husband Leon Wilson settled in Glasgow. Jackie and her husband Billy Coffey settled in Adair County. It was great to visit with them and catch up on kids and grandkids! - LW
