The National Prescription Drug Take Back program is sponsored by the Drug Enforcement Administration with a goal of removing opioids and other medicines that are unused from our community's homes, where they are vulnerable to misuse, theft, or abuse by family members and visitors including children and teens. In just four hours, over 60 pounds of pills were collected by the Adair County Sheriff's Office. These pills, held here by Sheriff Josh Brockman, will be properly destroyed.
