On a recent visit to Somerset, we noticed this huge new business facing Hwy 127, and on close inspection, discovered it's part of the local Adair County bank family - the headquarters of First & Farmers National Bank. Ann Martin, president of First & Farmers in Columbia, had mentioned at a recent EDA meeting that they are getting the new building in Somerset. Russell County Schools’ teachers were honored at Campbellsville University’s recent Excellence in Teaching Award Ceremony. Dr. Donna Hedgepath, far left, provost and vice president for academic affairs, and Dr. Lisa Allen, sixth from left, dean of the School of Education, presented the awards.
