Teacher Matt Willis, at left, introduced his students Nick Taylor, center, and Clayton Janes, at right. The two have received their pilots licenses Through the ACHS Aerospace CTE program. The students lead the pledge of allegiance to start the June meeting of the Adair County school Board. Mr. Willis said, "these two students came into my classroom as freshmen knowing exactly what they wanted to do and they have accomplished their goals of becoming pilots." Nick is a rising sophomore at Eastern Kentucky University. Clayton is a senior at Adair County high school. Both are licensed pilots. All Adair School Board members were present at the June meeting in the business of preparing for the 2019/2020 school year. In the highlights of the meeting, the Board gave a positive evaluation and renewal decision to Superintendent Dr. Pamela Stephens for another year with a letter that included the words, "...We commend her for the job she has already done and look forward to working with her in the next school year to see what we can accomplish together. We are extremely proud of the interest she has shown to our students, faculty and staff, the board and our community. Thanks again for a job well done."
