Two places are dear to my heart on Main Street in Shelbyville, KY - my children and grandchildren have businesses there and when I visit, we frequently go to the restaurant just up the street which serves these Carnitas Tacos. The pork is seasoned perfectly and covered with Cilantro, which I love. I've heard people either really like Cilantro or strongly dislike the taste. The sides of my choice are fried Plantains and steamed Broccoli. Travel: the Hatfield vs McCoy feud 2019-07-20 - Pikeville, KY - Photo by Tiffany Kessler, columbiamagazine.com. Hatfield vs McCoy, the most famous family Kentucky feud in its time. Media seemed to have a field day with the rural families constant arguing. The McCoys had a homestead in Pikeville, KY while the Hatfields were close by on the West Virginia state line. Like most cemeteries, McCoy family members are buried in Pikeville on a steep mountain. A constant flow of visitors from everywhere on the map stop to pay their respects to a family that seemed to experience nothing but turmoil and heartache. There is a light at the end of the tunnel... even if that tunnel is under an enormous, famous mountain. At $280 million, the passage beneath Cumberland Gap National Historic Park is listed as one of the most expensive federal road projects to date.
