Change - part of Adair Arts exhibit at Lindsey Wilson College

Change - a painting by Rachel M. Roberts that puts one in mind of transformation possibilities - is part of the local artists exhibit hosted by the Adair County Arts Council. This and many other art works can be viewed in the Lucretia C. Begley Gallery in the Slider Humanities Center on the campus of Lindsey Wilson College. The exhibit is free and open to the public now through September 20, 2019. A reception will be held at 6pmCT Thursday, September 19, 2019.

Birds of Kentucky: American Crow

A large American Crow spotted in the parking lot in front of the Field House on a rainy Sunday afternoon.

All About Birds has this to say about American Crows: "Inquisitive and sometimes mischievous, crows are good learners and problem-solvers, often raiding garbage cans and picking over discarded food containers. They're also aggressive and often chase away larger birds including hawks, owls and herons."

Little Mihlaya and her driver Daxton were among the children who stopped in at the Hungry Kids Cafe during the Farmers Market on the Square Saturday. They were at the Market with their Grandmother Sherry Spoon and their Great Grandmother Della Hare. They are the children of Katie Spoon and Ryan Sears.
