First visit to Rockhouse Bottom

It was a first visit for all. Eight-month-old Weston was happy to enjoy the outdoors and scenery of Rockhouse Bottom with his mom Michelle Neat, of Adair County, and grandparents Gary and Pam Copley of Jamestown. This was the first trip to the famous natural formation for each of them.

Breydon Helm was Elvis for a day Saturday

Breydon Helm, of Russell Springs, did a fantastic impersonation of a young Elvis Presley. Live music drew a huge crowd during Saturday's first ever Creelsboro Festival. Singing a rendition of "You Ain't Nothing But A Hound Dog", Breydon is the 17-year-old son of Landon and Amber Helm. - TK

Jaki Steward will be speaking on Thursday, September 19, 2019 at Campbellsville University. She received an Operation Christmas Child shoe box gift as a young girl and it changed her life tremendously.

This group is mighty proud of the crowds who responded to their work organizing the first annual Creelsboro festival. Included in the committee were: Michael Campbell, Gary Lawless, Karen Lawless, Doris Ann Burgess, Robert Bell, Brenda Higginbotham, Sue Ann Zimmerman, Barry Back, Donnie Gilbert, Brack Flanagan and Judy York.

Creelsboro was first 'Creelsborough' when founded in 1819

The town of 'Creelsborough' was founded in 1819 for business purposes by Elijah and Elza "Elzey" Creel, merchant brothers. The Creels, sons of an early settler of Green and Adair Counties, were early businessmen in Greensburg and later in Columbia.

Just for show

Lyrics from Fiddler on the Roof jumped to mind upon seeing this staircase, which at first seems to be "just for show." In reality, it grants access to the Louisville Loop Trail and across the levee to the Ohio River, from the back picnic area at Mike Linnig's on Cane Run Road.

LWC Singers at Columbia UMC

Lindsey Wilson's Homecoming Celebration continued this morning with an LWC Homecoming service at Columbia United Methodist Church, where the Lindsey Wilson Singers opened the service.
