Mystery: who created these quilt squares? 2019-09-20 - Adair County, KY - Photo by Phil Hanna. The Homeplace on Green River would like to give credit to the artist(s) who created these quilt squares with a plaque of some kind. George Kolbenschlag made labels naming each pattern and we would like to recognize the artist or artists as well. They were originally in the Columbia Chamber of Commerce offices several years back. The Chamber allowed them to be moved to the Lindsey Wilson College Library, which put them on display for a time. Health Department holds Gentle Yoga exercise training 2019-09-20 - Extension Office, Columbia, KY - Photo by Janet Cowherd. The Adair Health Department hosted a training session for Gentle Yoga leaders at the Adair Extension Office this week. Marshall University instructor Sheila Plogger helped women from three counties, Green, Russell and Adair, who had come for initial sessions or for updates. The goal of the training was to share the healthy exercises that focus on gentle stretches, breathing and relaxation. Pictured are Lisa Jo Allen, Allison Shepherd, Crystal Kingery, Bailey Brown, Eva Sublett, Sheila Plogger and Linda Waggener. Classes are held at the Health Department once or twice each year and at the LWC Holloway Health and Wellness Center at 10amCT each Tuesday morning.
