Learning first-hand how local government works
 2019-09-26 - Columbia, KY - Photo by Tiffany Kessler. Students from Adair County Elementary School were able to attend a special called Fiscal Court Meeting earlier today. Accompanying the classes were fifth grade teachers Sydney Humphress and Amanda Webster.
The students were incredibly well behaved and curious. During Judge Cowan's explanation of roads, this photographer's favorite response from the youngsters was "What's a pothole?"

KY Afield Outdoors: Lake Cumberland Spotted Bass

Rachel Young, conservation educator for the Kentucky Department of Fish and Wildlife Resources, holds a nice spotted bass caught recently from Lake Cumberland on a Ned rig. Fall is the best time of year to catch both numbers of spotted bass and trophy-sized fish as well.
