2019-10-11 - Downtown Columbia, KY - Photo by Linda Waggener, ColumbiaMagazine.com.
As the sidewalk upgrades continue on Burkesville Street and the hour of the closure of the square comes up at noon today, traffic is challenged. This photo is an example, made yesterday afternoon when a vehicle slipped off the street and law enforcement and emergency services were called to assist. The word of the day is, if you're in a hurry, please take the Veterans Memorial Bypass and avoid traffic slow downs.

New lighting poles in place on Patricia Trail and Utility way

2019-10-11 - New Columbia - Photo by Victoria Pike of Miss Vicky\'s Pampered Angus Ranch.
Six new poles with lights are in place on the lots adjoining Walmart Holliday Place. There are more lights to come but this is a start. The roads are located behind Sleep Inn in New Columbia. Things have been busy finding the owners of two small pot bellied pigs and one neighbor dog that was lost today. We think the little piggies are kin to the famous Little Oscar who made his presence known several years ago and became quite a celebrity on Columbia Magazine.
