Before and After: Flatwoods' Rosenwald School

A before and after shot of the Flatwoods' Rosenwald School renovations. October 19th was the third day devoted to work at Flatwoods School. A core of workers, most Band of Brothers members came out to do one more organized day of restoration. The project was and is nearing completion, at least for this year.

Around Adair: Humongous Pumpkin

The version on the left originally ran with the caption "Ernest Rainwater kicks out a place in burley patch and grows a Humongous Pumpkin." It caused a bit of a stir around the state, and so this version with an explanation ran in the October 21, 1977 issue of the Daily Statesman
