Teachers at the ACPC preparing for Fall Festival

This evening the Adair County Primary Center will be hosting their fall festival. There will be lots of fun with plenty of games, prizes, food, and of course FUN. There will also be the crowning of our first King and Queen as well as Prince and Princess court.

Here in our photo Julie Burton and Taylor Morrison set up the table with our crowns. Good luck to those participating. The crowning ceremony begins at 4:30pmCT and our other games and fun will be from 5pmCT-7pmCT.

In a new study published in the journal Scientific Reports, Dr. Noah Ashley, associate professor of Biology at Western Kentucky University, Dr. Ila Mishra of Case Western Reserve University and colleagues have identified another negative effect of light pollution -- disruption of the rhythms that regulate the immune system.

Bless Your Heart - a message from one of the many SquareCrows of 2019 - will be leaving now as the season ends. SquareCrows have been part of the downtown Columbia landscape since mid-October and, as the tradition dictates, must now disappear until next fall. Students learn banking operations at TCHS

Cardinal Financial Center, a Taylor County High School-based enterprise, held its annual Grand Opening and Ribbon Cutting ceremony recently. The Cardinal Financial Center falls under the Business and Marketing pathway at TCHS and is operated and run like a normal bank. This year, 12 juniors and 17 seniors interviewed and trained at one of the local bank supporters of the program for real-world banking experience.
