David Jones and Steve Burton at AC School Board meeting

Transportation and Maintenance Director David Jones, at left, will be retiring at the end of this year and his replacement will be the present Adair County Elementary School Principal Steve Burton, at right. Jones said after the meeting that he plans to continue building his year-round fishing guide business, Green River Lake Crappie Trips. On his website, he writes, "...I have a desire to spend every minute I can on the lake catching and teaching others about Crappie fishing." On his home page he dedicates the site "to Presley Chelf and Sammy Blair" who took time to take him fishing. You can take a fishing trip with him and Tim Farmer on the video on his site.

AC Schools Finance Officer Renae Smith at Board meeting

Finance Officer Renae Smith and her team got positive remarks from the auditor at the School Board meeting for doing such a thorough job. Mike Jones of Mather and Company reported that they had "no significant findings, and that is very good."
