Samson Community Hospital welcomed the first baby of 2020. Eira Hope Jackson, who was born at 1:40pm on January 1st. Eira's parents, Erika Johnson and Austin Jackson of Albany, KY, were presented with balloons and a gift basket from the T.J. Gift Shop along with a $50 gift certificate from Edmonton State Bank, and they will receive a case of diapers every month for a year from the hospital. In addition, CEO Neil Thornbury presented the family with a $1,000 college scholarship for the school year 2038 for Eira. TC Primary Center receives grant from AHA 2020-01-02 - Campbellsville, KY - Photo by Maddie Gumm. Taylor County Primary Center recently awarded a $2,500 grant from the American Heart Association (AHA) Teaching Gardens Network grant program. Taylor County was one of 50 project proposals selected from almost 500 schools that applied nationwide. The project is an immersive courtyard teaching garden for the kindergarten classes at TCPC, led by Mrs. Melinda Neal.
