Street closed for KU trucks to come repair power line pole

Kentucky Utilities trucks rolled into Columbia around 5pmCT after the high winds of Saturday's storm damaged a power line pole beside the building that houses the Columbia Adair Chamber of Commerce, Tourism and Economic Development Authority. Burkesville Street from Stotts Construction to the Public Square had to be blocked off from the noon hour until after dark due to the pole damaged in the 40-60 mph winds of Saturday morning.

TCHS students selected for trip to Japan

Power companies working on Burkesville Street problem

High winds of this morning, Saturday, January 11, 2020, left problems in their wake. This leaning power line at the Columbia Adair Chamber of Commerce Tourism and EDA Building on Burkesville Street caused the street to be blocked off and an event to have to be moved to another location. Winds exceeded 40 mph. This afternoon is bringing heavy rains and thunderstorms.
