They presented the slide show they've developed, spotlighting maintenance needs at their building and are showing it at each opportunity where people can become aware.

Jim Leib works in media and also in education and is one of the regulars at the monthly Adair County School Board meetings. In this instance, he was attending for 92.7 The WHVE news where his recordings with leaders of meetings can be heard the following morning.

ACMS slide show presented to School Board

The 2019-2020 Adair County Middle School newspaper and yearbook staff wrote articles and took photos of their school maintenance challenges which was combined into a slide show. Many of the 27 staffers attended and presented the slide show at the January School Board meeting.

Rep. Joe Graviss, D-Versailles (right), congratulates 7-year-old Ethan Branscum of Frankfort after House Bill 27 passed the House Government Committee. Ethan suggested the idea for HB 27 to Graviss and Rep. Kevin D. Bratcher, R-Louisville, prior to the session. The measure would designate adopted cats and dogs as the state's official pet.

Superintendent Pamela Stephens recognized the members of the Adair School Board at the January 2020 meeting Thursday evening. She said, "School Board Recognition Month in January is a good time to recognize Adair County School Board members for their hard work. It's my hope that the people in our community will take a few moments this month to thank them and to learn more about the work of our school board members who bear the tremendous responsibility of ensuring the long-term success of our school system - and of our community's children."
