Dexter Sloan McKinney is pictured after finally having gotten the last of those Christmas decorations off the big tree. It was tough but somebody had to do it. He was born October 18, 2019 at 1.78 pounds and was adopted just before the holiday. His housemate Greyson is named after Grey’s Anatomy and Sloan is the name of the hospital on Grey’s. Dexter’s name when Joan and Stan McKinney adopted him was Sheogorath known as The Prince of Madness in a video game, but that's a big name for a kitten. So, Dexter was their choice - the name of the TV show Dexter whose character Dexter killed bad guys who hurt others and “deserved” to die. Groundhog Day Farm Report: Babies everywhere here at the Pampered Angus Ranch. Three of five babies want to start their careers in the calf modeling industry early. One shy one is behind the roll of hay and the other still out in the field with momma cow. They sure were loving the sun this afternoon. The mud is beginning to settle a bit in sunny spots but still a mess around the barns where the sun is blocked part of the day. They had visitors this week from a high ranking Future Farmers of America Adair Chapter officer. Wow we are moving on up as George Jefferson would say.
