Grider and Loy want to see natural gas lines run

2020-02-05 - Columbia - Photo by Linda Waggener, ColumbiaMagazine.com.
Adair Countians who are in the business of raising poultry are pressing leaders of both Fiscal Court and the City, asking why gas lines are not being run all over this county? Ben Loy and Jason Grider were in attendance at the last Fiscal Court meeting to continue questioning what is being done. Both have poultry businesses and are heating with propane which is much more expensive than natural gas. The County would have to establish a gas district, or partner, which is being explored. The City Gas Department is applying for a grant through the Lake Cumberland Area Development District which would answer the need.
