Wal Mart - Adair County Fair Donation

Wal Mart donated $800 to the Adair County Fair, which was part of a community grant. These funds were donated to help with the Fair's Christmas basket program that assist over 150 people this past Christmas.

Recently the Fair has also received assistances from Glen and Daniel Turner with GAT Trucking in hauling gravel and Clinton Garrison with skid steer work on the new ground all at no charge.

ACHS 1995 Basketball Team honored at halftime

Adair County Magistrate Greg Caldwell, second from left, went straight from Fiscal Court to the Adair County High School gym Tuesday night to be with team members, coaches and families. During the game against Greensburg, the 1995 Basketball Indians team was being honored for their state tournament action.

K9 Ann in new body armor

The Adair County School District's K9 Ann has received a bullet and stab protective vest thanks to a charitable donation from non-profit organization Vested Interest in K9s, Inc. The vest was embroidered with the sentiment "Born to Love-Trained to Serve-Loyal Always".

ACPC Family Science Night: Starry Night

This station was titled "Starry Night" and it had the student using a flashlight to see different constellations in a diorama (darkened shoe box). The Lindsey student is Alix Castillo and ACPC student is Clara Kotter.

ACPC Family Science Night: Capillary action

Samantha Cundiff was conducting the station on root systems. Students took the white looking tube which was a paper towel, stuck it in brown rice and then poured green water on the rice. The student could then see capillary action with the green water going up just as roots have capillary action to carry water to a plant.

ACPC Family Science Night: Creating Planets

Harold Bargo is watching Bodie Lewis create his own planet. After hearing the two Lindsey students talk about our solar system, students were given a styrofoam ball and told to create a planet by painting the styrofoam ball.
