Columbia Police Department discoveries

Officers located a black bag a suspect had discarded while running away from police and found it to contain narcotics and paraphernalia. Suspect was taken into custody and has been charged with trafficking a controlled substance methamphetamine, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of marijuana, tampering with physical evidence, fleeing and evading, as well as traffic violations.

Rev. James Jones will speak at Wednesday chapel

Happy 89th Birthday Margie Burris Coffey

She is pictured in the department her good works helped to build by Ernie Bennett, Genealogical Librarian. The crossing's dangerous on Keen Wilson Road

In this high-water winter of 2020, driving from one side of Keen Wilson Road through Russell Creek to the other side is not advisable. Keen Wilson connects Highway 80/Russell Springs Road through beautiful hills to Highway 92/Montpelier Road off Highway 55 South in Adair county.
