A peaceful group

This group observed, but didn't protest a quick photo. Their soft coats and dry bed of hay in the morning sunshine seemed to meet their needs and provide peace and satisfaction.

ACHS Football Coach Van Isaac asks for help for team

Coach Van Isaac came before the Adair County School Board at the Thursday, February 20, 2020 meeting with an appeal for the Football Team. In his request for funds, he asked for a few key pieces of equipment that he said would make the team more competitive. He asked for funds for an Endzone camera, Hudl Sideline and Headsets to help support what he called "one of the best groups in recent memory."

Birds of Kentucky: American Kestrel

Kestrels have traditionally been called Sparrow Hawks, although they mainly eat grasshoppers and other insects, in addition to small mammals and birds. This one is clutching a fairly humble catch.

Sen. Max Wise welcomes visitors in Frankfort

Wise writes, "Lots of visitors from the 16th Senate District stopped by this past week, including local county officials - Judge Executives/Magistrates/PVAs from Adair, Clinton, Taylor & Wayne Counties, Lake Cumberland Health Department, Cumberland Family Medical Center, Taylor County educators, Independent KY College Presidents, and various other constituents and friends." Pictured with him are Adair County Magistrate Greg Caldwell, at left, and to his right are AC Judge Executive Gale Cowan and Magistrate Terry Hadley.
