Adair County announces first COVID-19 case

1:45pmCT Tuesday, March 31, 2020 -- The first case of COVID-19 is being announced at this hour by AC Judge Executive Gale Cowan and EMS Director Mike Keltner. They join Lake Cumberland District Health Department Director Shawn Crabtree, at right, on a Facebook Live announcement occurring now.

Testing for live online Fiscal Court meeting today at 4pmCT

Mike Keltner, top left, Chad Wheet, top right, and Tracy McCarol are pictured testing to make sure the second March 2020 Fiscal Court meeting can be live streamed on the Court's Facebook page scheduled for 4pmCT today, March 31, 2020. The meeting will not be open to the public due to the executive order re COVID-19 put in place by Gov. Andy Beshear. They will however live stream the meeting on the Adair County Fiscal Court Facebook page. Judge Cowan says the Magistrates will be in the room along with her, County Attorney and Clerk. No departments are to attend. They will be practicing social distancing and will have no more than 10 people in the room at any given time. If anyone has something that to have addressed in 'Other Business' or 'Public Comments', please call the Judges Office at 270-384-4703 before 3pmCT prior to the start of the meeting.
