Members from the Columbia Christian Church, the Columbia Baptist Church, and Columbia Church of the Nazarene were busy preparing boxes of food for Adair County students and their families during the week of spring break. Columbia IGA as well as many local churches including Columbia Baptist, Columbia Christian, Trinity United Methodist, Columbia United Methodist, and 3 Trees Church all participated.

This is Dean Quinn's 1957 Chevrolet Townsman station wagon. 350 V8, automatic transmission, power steering, power brakes. Dean writes, "The station wagon allows extra room for plenty of grandchildren, family and friends. A blast to go cruising in and a real crowd pleaser. I've owned the car for about 5 years."

Why you should wash your hands

The results of an experiment in hand washing. Door knobs, phones, and at top right, unwashed hands, all caused considerable growth after just a couple of weeks. At bottom right and left, bread after careful hand washing shows considerably less activity.
